Final Fundraising Events of 2016
6th Nov – Helen Gazzola held a 70th birthday party for her Mum Sheila. Sheila has CUP and kindly asked for donations to CUP Foundation in lieu of presents. Thank you Sheila.
12th Nov – Elaine Cruickshank, who’s husband died of CUP in June, held an afternoon tea and raised £1500.
19th Nov – Trustee Philippa McEwan held her annual coffee morning and raised £434
Events Planned for 2017
Cheryl Willey is set for a very busy year. She plans to run several 10Ks and a half marathon in memory of her best friend, Louise, who died of CUP in May 2016.
12th March: Sacha Skerton will take alcohol part in the Vitality North London Half Marathon in memory of Karen Davies
9th April: Michelle Frost will run the Brighton Marathon in memory of Eddie MacDonald and to raise awareness of CUP
April: Katrina Barker will take part in a duathlon. This consists of a 10K run, 40K bike ride and a further 5K run. She is doing this in memory of a good friend who died of CUP but also using the training to recuperate after knee surgery!
Two friends of long term supporter and CUP patient, Paul Barker, are taking part in events to support his fundraising:
27th May: Mary Parfitt will be abseiling down Ipswich Hospital. Paul is not well enough to undertake this challenge so Mary is doing it at his request. As they say Mary….with friends like that…

17th June: Claire Mills is taking part in the Great East Swim.
