Fundraising and awareness events are coming back to life as restrictions ease and the weather improves. We are very grateful to those taking-up these stretching challenges to support our work.

Mark Larden and Tina took part part in this years Race to the Kings, 19 and 20 June, to raise money (over £3,500 before Gift Aid) in memory of Tina’s late husband Paul Coxon who sadly passed away in October 2019. The event was two marathons over two days. As Mark writes ‘this is a big thing, especially for somebody like me that has never run more than a half marathon.’

Biomed graduate Karolina Bobrik undertook a fundraising walk in memory of her grandmother. The photos show her and the distance covered. She writes: “We saw some gorgeous sights during the walk. Including beautiful horses and a pony. The day was great and it felt good to know that this walk is for a good cause!”
