We draw our data on CUP incidence and mortality from CRUK’s excellent stats service. There has been a change to recording recently and the data presented are averages of 3 years rather than one year. There is always a significant time lag in the availability of data but these figures give an idea of the size of the disease in the UK. Mortality has decreased by about 20% in the last decade.

Incidence. 8,100 new cases in the UK each year (2017-19) . 15th commonest cancer.
