Thank you to all of the wonderful supporters who have completed challenges and raised money for us since our last update:

  • May 19th: Paul Barker’s Fifth Annual Golf Day took place. Lots of cupcakes were eaten and a fantastic £2050 was raised
  • May 27th: Mary Parfitt was asked by her friend Paul Barker to take on the challenge of abseiling down Ipswich Hospital. For some bizarre reason she actually agreed to do it! She duly completed the abseil and raised £731
  • June 10th: Dawn & Kevin Tyahooa had a joint 40th birthday party and, in lieu of presents, kindly asked for donations to CUP Foundation raising £633. Thanks to all their friends & family
  • June 17th: Here comes another friend of Paul Barker – Clare Mills completed the great East Swim (having to learn her hated front crawl in the process) and raising £893
  • July 22nd: Luke, Clare & Josh took part in the London Triathlon in memory of Josh’s Mother Elaine Fenn. Despite terrible weather on the day with thunder & lightening bringing the swim section to an early conclusion, the team battled on, finished and raised £2130 between them
  • July 22nd: Adam Hemmings also took part in the London Triathlon in memory of Elaine Fenn and raised £1034

Future Events

  • Sept 10th: Claire Foster is hoping to get a place in the ballot for the Great North Run and will run in memory of her grandmother
  • Sept 16/17th: Anna Creasy will take part in the Richmond RunFest
  • Oct 15th: Sarah Brookbank will run the Birmingham Half Marathon in memory of her uncle who died of CUP in December 2016
