In the 3 months since our last update our supporters have excelled themselves. The events have been coming around thick and fast and the fundraising has been amazing:

• Sept 10th: Andrew Robertson, a great friend of Paul Barker, took part in the Great North Run. The funds he raised added to Paul’s fundraising effort

• Sept 10th: Claire Bird also completed the Great North Run (in 2 hours & 14 minutes) as a tribute to her uncle and raised £623

• Meg MacDonald held a barn dance to celebrate her 21st birthday and kindly asked for donations to CUP Foundation raising £610

• Sept 16th: Anna & Spencer ran the Kew Gardens 10k in memory of Anna’s Mum Margaret Creasy. Running in Kew Gardens was very special as it was Anna’s Mum’s favourite place and they have a tree planted there for her

• Sept 17th: Dale, Fran, Stu, Lou, Dan & Alan all ran the Bristol Half Marathon In memory of Bev Pearce and to raise awareness of CUP. They raised a fantastic £3610

• Sept 24th: Heidi Masters took part in the Great East Run and raised £126

• Sept 24th: Laura Roser and her brother Phil ran in the Windsor Half Marathon (their first one) in memory of Alison O’Connell and particularly to raise awareness. Their fundraising total was £720

• Oct 15th: Sandra Rhodes, another close friend of Paul Barker, took part in the Spires & Steeples Challenge half marathon along with Steve. This was the longest run they had ever done and it was off road and over hilly terrain. A challenge indeed which raised £286

• Nina Spencer organised a Golf Day in memory of her husband. £862 was raised with a further £862 donated by AG Software in Derby who matched their fundraising

• Oct 29th: Hannah Tunnard ran in the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon. She says she is not a runner but wanted to honour her father. Her boyfriend Dan ran beside her to raise funds for the British Red Cross who have done so much to help her father. She raised £882
